Student Showcase
Looking forward to seeing students and guardians tonight for the student showcase. In humanities, students will complete a federal government structure puzzle, discuss "Animal Farm" which we have been reading as a novel study, show one example of a project being worked on in class, show one example of written work, and review grades as well as access to course work via PowerSchool and D2L BrightSpace, respectively. See you tonight!

This week in humanities, students began learning about the Youth Criminal Justice System in Canada. Students are currently working on research related to an infamous case in Canada that sparked debates over the extent to which Canada's Youth Justice System is tough enough. The case is on the Richardson family murders of 2006 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. After researching the facts of the trial, students will then prepare a debate, either defending or criticizing the verdict based on the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Students also continued reading the novel Animal farm and were assigned comprehension questions for Ch. 1-2. The novel and questions can all be found the D2L Brightspace Shell through the CBE website.
